Christina E. Miles

Co-Founder & Licensed Clinical Therapist

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and Certified Advanced Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CAADC). I have earned my Master's Degree in Forensic Psychology from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology in Washington D.C. and my BS in Psychology from Stevenson University in Maryland.

My areas of specialization include working with adults with anxiety, depression, trauma, substance abuse, co-occurring disorders and personality disorders. I am trained in E.M.D.R. which is the most researched treatment for trauma and P.T.S.D.

I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) along with elements from other modalities of therapy to provide the best treatment approach for each individual client. I also incorporate natural and holistic interventions for those seeking an integrative approach.

I believe that an authentic therapeutic relationship is essential for therapy to be effective. Positive growth and healing occur through a trustworthy and supportive environment. Through this therapeutic relationship, the client is able to uncover their personal strengths which can be hidden or affected by past experiences or inhibited by anxiety and fears.  My intention for therapy is to assist the client in developing the self-awareness and confidence needed to make the changes they desire so they can grow and blossom.

Testimonials From Clients and Colleagues

She’s awesome, I appreciate her so much. A lot of good insight and advice within the 3 sessions we’ve had so far. Highly recommend.

I made tremendous progress in our time together, and I appreciate the safe space you provided for me. I am not the same person I was when we met initially; I made my most significant changes over the past few months. I can see and feel it inside. Our time together meant a lot to me - I appreciate you for being there and guiding and challenging my thoughts, perceptions, and understandings of things.
I want to thank you for all that you have done for me and helped me with during my internship at outpatient. If it wasn’t for you, I wouldn’t have been able to have kept my sanity let alone have kept it together. You have shown me such friendship and unconditional love and acceptance. I will always remember that my field experiences were possible because you were always available to vent too.

Christina is intuitive, brilliant, and my experience with her in therapy has been profound — even though I’ve only had two sessions. She understands so much about the human experience and psychology, so I felt understood/seen by her right away. She asks direct and poignant questions, and gives homework after each call so that I have tangible things to work on in between sessions. She’s non -judgmental and her approach is holistic, deep, and helpful. 10/10 recommend.
