What does my Insurance Cover?
Here at DIY Psychology, we encourage our patients to call their insurance provider prior to visiting our office to ensure everyone is informed. After all, we are here to PROMOTE your STRENGTH and your INDEPENDENCE. The member number can be found on the back of the insurance card.
What insurance are we in-network with?
As of now, we are only paneled with Capital Blue Cross, Aetna, HighMark Blue Shield, Optum, HighMark, Independence Blue Cross, Penn Behavioral Health, Beacon Health Options, and UHC/UBH. We do not provide Medicaid or Medicare services.
What is the difference between In-Network and Out-of-Network?
In-Network: Meaning that your health insurance will accept claims/bills and may pay for the portion of our fee.
Out-Of-Network: You will pay our fee for service. Then we will generate a superbill and have you submit this to your insurance provider. The superbill is provided to assist you in, possibly being, reimbursed for our services. However, understand, they are not required to reimburse you for the services we provided.
How much does a Consultation cost?
Free. We offer a free 15 minute consultation prior to scheduling an appointment.
What is the fee for fully licensed counselors?
A fully "Licensed" counselor can accept insurances and self-pay. The intake session is $120.00 and each following session is $110.00. The cost will differ due to insurance plans. Payments can be made through debit cards and credit cards (Mastercard, Visa, Discovery, American Express, JCB, HSA, and FSA).
What is the rates for a Pre-License Therapist?
A Pre=licensed Counselor is licensed under the state of Pa. and under the supervision of a fully licensed counselor. Pre- Licensed Counselors are non-eligible to accept health insurance. The intake session is $100.00 dollars and the individual sessions cost $70.00 dollars (Mastercard, Visa, Discovery, American Express, JCB, HSA, and FSA).
